Boaters Protest
 

This how we Brevard Co. Fl. boaters spent our Memorial Day.

Of the 5.5 Hr.s we were on the water in our boat, 4 HOURS were spent idleing! I hope everyone else's boating Holiday was more FUN!!!

How many Manatees do you have in Chicago? Do you understand the IRONY in organizations like these radicals? I was looking through a friends Sierra Club Magazine the other day and guess what? ADS FOR AUTOMOBILES! Imagine that! They are so self righteous that they will take advertising dollars from the companies that make the vehicles that pollute so much! Clearly these organizations have ulterior motives.

Why is it that you feel so compelled to ridicule, and criticize others for fighting for what they believe in?

Dean, I for one think that manatees are cute, cuddly, fuzzy animals. How could anybody even think of harming one of these beautiful creatures? Personally, I think that the ENTIRE ICW should be boat prohibited so that they can have a safe sanctuary to frolic in.

I visited a friend 2 years ago down there and I could not believe the slow speed areas...No thanks, it takes too long in the hot sun to get anywhere.

Shane...what does the crooked STM club have to do with the fact that we should protect the manatees...Would you please seperate the two...The Manatee has no idea what STM is and if they are legit...But one thing they all do know is the feel of a boat prop on the back...You will not see me defending the STM club....but I will defend the manatee...And yes I have boat...

Supercrash: I think that we all feel the same way you do. I think that we all want to keep the Manatee safe. However one has to question the lagitamicay of the studies and also if the manatee zones are actually working for the good of the manatee. I feel that there are enough manatee zones and if that helps them out that is fine, but enough is enough. Soon there will be no way for people to get out to the ocean because the no wake will take the better part of the day and who wants to do that. I think it is great that Mean Dean is taking a stand for what he believes in. WAY TO GO DEAN!!!! :D:D:D

Not trying to give you a hard time. There will be alot of other people who do that!!

Seems like almost every post/comment you make creates alot of negative feedback. Only my opinion, I observe the topics from afar. I enjoy the bantering that goes back and forth. Thanks for the entertainment.

Cord please come down to visit us and the ICW. We all love the manatees and do our best to keep them out of harms way. But.. we must be reasonable.
Your approach (as a WI resident), even for a Floridian would be considered a bit of an exremist.
I support Dean 100%!
