Can any of you Cafe or Top Gun guys help me out
I need to know what size batteries I need. I hate to guess and then have them not fit when I get home.
I'm out of town, but want to buy them on the way home friday without going all the way to my house to measure and then all the way back out.
Thanks,
Eric

U probably have group 27 batteries. The cig battery box will fit up to a group 31.
Try to get 800 amp cc / 1000 mca starting batteries. If you go with a flooded battery, interstate makes a decent marine starting battery (27M-Xhd) . If you want the best, get an Odyssey agm battery (31M- PC2150), but be ready to spend $300+ per side.

Thanks CigDaze!
Since I am mostly concerned about being able to run the stereo for long periods of time should I be looking at Deep Cycle batteries with less CCA but more Staying Power??

You got it. If you want to run equipment off your batteries for extended periods of time then deep cycles are what you're looking for.
Both of mine are deep cycles and I've never had a problem cranking ever, and yet I can enjoy music all day while sitting at the sandbar using only one battery and keeping the other in reserve.
