I use a Tigershark (we used to sell them) PWC wrist strap - religiously. To make sure I wear it, when I take it off, I loop it over my shifter. (I have a foot throttle.) That way I can't miss it when I pull away and it even gets in the way if I forget to put it on.

Same here. Easy to clip on and off a vest or belt loop.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking that killing the motors whist one is walking around might not be a bad thing. :evilb:

I like that I have a little slack in mine. If I need to put a line on the side cleat, throw something into the cabin, close the hatch, etc. The wrist lanyards probably won't allow that.

my Cafe did not have any lanyards when i bought it. What and where do I buy for a 90' Cafe'??

West Marine has them, but it is a pretty common item, on line would likely be a better cost.

I use the lanyard Brad gave me from the Tres Martin Course. Works great.... I still forget I'm wearing it and accidentally kill the engine:lolhit:

It kind of depends on how long the elastic portion is that's attached to the wrist band. The longer it is though, the more tangled up they seem to get. I can make it to the passenger seat, then it's curtains.

Exactly why we encourage wrist bands, They support the brain link to the lanyard. Also reminds you to wear it when it is left over the throttle.
