My boat came with a nice bimini from the previous owner. I haven't got a chance to use it yet, but I will. I think it will be nice for times when I am going to be in one place for a long time. I doubt I will ride with it up. Not sure what speeds it is rated for.

I have an anchor shade too but don't use it much. Mainly because I don't stay in one place for long.

I love my anchor shade we had a old style made out of metal must have been one of the first ones. I have a new one made out of some sort of plastic like a boat antenna it works well, but not on a windy day.

Yep,
Our last 4 boats have had Bimini tops. IMHO you can't boat in our area without them, because of the Manatee IDLE zones, you'll bake in the FL. sun! Thanks alot $TM club!

Outside of the ocean - the majority of the West Coast boating is done in the dessert. The colorado chain is the most popular boating destination.

With standing temps regularly exceeding 110 and often hover at 115 where I boat- to not have a bimini is to end up a charred cinder in under half a day. This is at almost -0- humidity as well.

This is one reason why most left coast boats come from the factory with a bimini as well have more thought put into a workable swim steps.

I have an air conditioner too- but that doesn't do squat while up on top.

Growing up in the midwest and boating often in Florida its a completely different scenario to prepare for.

Anchor shade for us as well. The wind can cause some issues, but it's still not bad. There's not too many other alternatives.

Under still air conditions, our AnchorShade III worked like a champ...and protected from dew during overnight.

Have them on the 311 and the Bullet. They’ve lasted years too… think the Bullet’s is over 15 years old!
