Officials say the boat was going about 65 mph when it went up on the rocks, ejecting Bain.

Yeah, you know, the bad people that hang out on the seedy side of town? They did it!

Condolences to the Bain Family and friends on the death of Jeffrey Bain. Drinking is OK, when not driving but add boating, drinking and driving and it may end up this way one day. Don't Drink and Drive!!!!!!!!!

Rip rap, I assume.

60+ at night. Wow.

Condolences to family and friends.

So Sad. It upsets me to see this so often... drunk, speed, and night.

Yes I assume Rip Rap as well. It is the broken stone you see around bridges and jetties that prevent the washout of the footings.

Lets not jump to conclusions like the media has done. Texoma is big and like many lakes, its very easy to get disoriented at night.

pacalim1965@yaho 05-09-2011 12:58 PM

Disoriented at night is one thing ......But disoriented at night traveling 65mph ....Drunk.........thats what we here in florida call STUPIDITY. Its a miracle only one died.....Sorry just can't sugar coat this one.

pacalim1965@yaho 05-09-2011 08:01 PM

Ok lets take the drunk part out of the picture, fair enough? Traveling at 65 mph at night across a lake is plain wreckless. Here in florida it would surely be a death wish with all the fisherman anchored out fishing.

Apathetic 05-09-2011 10:39 PM

IF drunk and driving like that then it's better him than someone innocent.

Feel terrible for the family and friends, though.
