launch ramp newburg area ?
poughkeepsie or newburgh area...on the hudson river...
Any nice launch ramp in that area where I could leave a truck and trailer safely?

If you are looking for a ramp and parking for daytime use then you could go to Gully's in Newburgh. If you want overnight parking I would recommend West Shore Marina in Marlboro. They also have overnight docking and are nice people to deal with. If you need more info let me know, this is where I do my boating.
