I have a 32 velocity with 200 hr. On 600hp with bravos. I race boats all the time . You just don't nail the throttles taking off and when you get a little air you got to let off. I could brake them if I don't .

the TR drive was exactly like the TRS drive and made the same years. The difference was, the TR just had a longer leg(lower-unit), so as to swing a larger diameter prop, for cruisers, houseboats, etc. The same difference that the Bravo One and Bravo Two have today.
