Is that 1700 horsepower on pump gas or race gas?

I should have included this again in the most recent story.

I know Sam and talked to him about two weeks ago, He said they should be testing by about now, I saw pics a while ago of them already going in the boat at skater. No offense Matt, but are you behind the times or did something go wrong and the project get delayed? I just dont want to assume.

From the article in post #1 in this thread: much-awaited 1,700-hp turbocharged engines are in their final stages of “dressing” for final dynamometer testing before shipping to Douglas Marine/Skater for installation in a Skater 388 catamaran owned by Sam Smith of Louisiana.

How long will these Sterling engines last before they need freshened? 100hrs? 50hrs? 25hrs? 10hrs? Or after each use?
