I hope someone will want the new Seven Marine 557hp motors. AT will have to beef up the transom because those motors weigh over 1000lbs each but wow what a terror that boat would be!! Twins for the 33 and trips for the 37.

My question is why did he pick those engines? 4 vs 2 stroke? Yamaha vs Merc? twins vs triples? Just curious....
Check this out and I think you will be surprised.....

Most yacht tenders out there run yamaha. When I was doing the yacht deal, we had twin 250's on the big tender, a 115 on the small one, and two yamaha jet skis. They are typically easier to find parts for abroad, and if he is going to be towing it all around, when something goes wrong, the parts are more readily available.

Agreed.

I'm a BIG mercury guy and have been using Hi-perf stuff forever. But I have listened to and understand the CC and luxury open deck guys. Yamaha has a following and is largely responsible for making the Merc Verados so attractive.

Competition is good!

Thanks! It will be another avenue for us. I get more inquiries on the 33 with OB power than you would believe. This has just opened that door.

I like the big block Mercs in the back but I have always really liked a go-fast with outboards as well.

I will keep Matt updated and he will pass it on.

Thanks! Pat
