Budman you may have problems with the pfd I have a 7 month old and the small jackets are hard to find...I bought one from mustang its pretty nice but dont remember the minimum weight my daughter is around 16-17lbs....You might re- think where you have her ride I put a seat belt in the cuddy and the back seat to mount her car seat, it rides way better near the back of the boat!!!!I know you have to worry about the sun but our car seat has a sun shade on it!!!She would rather ride on her Moms lap but put her in the seat when she's sleeping. We dont belt her in the seat becouse the jacket is so restrictive to begin with, just take it easy with her and your daughter will love it. One more thing we bought a jr. set of hearing protection for her too if you want some let me know I'll give you the website.

Dyno,
Thanks for the info! I too have thought about the seat belt idea. What did you make yours out of? I thought about just going to a salvage yard and getting a set of belts out of a junked car. I could then bolt them under the back seat base and mount the carrier there. Sun is not much of an issue because we have a large bimini top on the boat. Her car seat also has the sun shade. I also might just sit that car seat in the cuddy between the jump seats. We probably won't go out unless it's a pretty calm day - might go through the week to minimize boat wakes.
Ear plugs probably won't be needed - I can just run the exhaust though the prop.
Thanks again!
