Default Who bought the old Target Powerboat Molds

I remember the molds from the Canadian builder Target were for sale last year. They sold rather quickly. Anyone know where they went?

I do not know. Larry Goldman had told me he knew where they were before he passed away. I never really thought about it again though.

They only built a 32?
I spoke to the gentleman who owned the building they were built in and he thinks they are in New York or New Jersey maybe. I really can’t remember.

There was a 21- single o/b splashed Off the skater (just as the 32 was)

Wasn't the Target 32 the topic of a lot of boat accidents due to handling issues?

I think the original owner(Laurent?) stretched the 32 to a 35/36 and he perished in one he was testing.

The yellow 36 Lemay crashed and died in, just got restored, and is now tennis-ball neon green. After Gary Smith won his lawsuit against Tony Frisina in 2013

I guess the four Spectre cat molds ended up with Smith after that. Now Frisina was allegedly holding on to the Target 32 mold and it became the Sonic 32.

I guess Frisini wanted to stretch the 32 Target, but with some changes compared to the 4' stretch Lemay did originally, but the Scott Robson designed 38 Crossover Cat

is the only larger non Spectre cat I ever remember coming out of Sonic.

I saw a pic a few months ago of the target molds sitting at the old sonic plant. I’d have to look for them. Place looks abandoned. No clue who you could contact
