Here is some additional info:
(1) This hit & run happened Sunday night 7/3/11 around 10:35pm (2) Not only did we have our anchor light on, we had LED bridge lights on, LED side deck lights on, all interior lights on in the salon (he had NO lights on) & had we not been sitting on the quarter deck and screamed at him he would have hit us mid-ship. (3) He had his daughter on board - we know this because while he was trying to restart his engines, she was screaming "let's go Daddy!". What a chicken ---! He will never be able to hold his head up & say that he is a man. (4) After we knew we were OK, our biggest fear after he fled, was that he was going to hit someone else & they may not be as fortunate as we were (5) We could care less about what legal problems this may cause him, we just want his insurance (or him) to have to pay for our damages. We will be out of pocket several thousand dollars.

I've spent probably a 100 nights on the hook and my biggest fear has always been what happened to you. I am becoming more and more of a licensing advocate with each senseless accident. Have been form day one but w/**** like this how can anyone even argue about it?
BTW, my boat is a low profile 24' and I can't imagine what would would have happened to us in the same situation.
As a side note (after spending a fair amount of time in the Keys) it seems to be becoming more and more of an amateur hour situation down there w/all the visiting boats/boaters.

Glad you and yours are OK and hope they catch this worthless dirt bag!

And act accordingly. My point was the drunken boating, idiots that think there are no laws when down there. What was yours?

Another idiot on the water , glad everyone is OK....this time.

The Mini Lobster season is about to happen here in the Keys , the public gets 2 days to collect lobster before the commercial fishermen can fish. We see every boat on the Island get wet on these 2 days , a very dangerous scene as you can imagine, not only are all these boats out ... the people are in the water, gonna keep our fingers crossed.

And what does that have to do with any of this?

I agree.

Oh , and that goes way beyond boating , there are packs of drunken tourists on scooters who love honking the horn as they speed around the island , tourists on Duval just throwing garbage where they please , ect...

Gonna be real tough to find without make and model of boat. Maybe you should have them go to trader online and scroll through the center consoles to see if they can pick out a brand.
