Not a single engine boat, but if your going offshore you need twins. A simple cam change and these motors can be bumped up to 500hp and you'll be running 80+. All the bigger 500hp accessories are already there. Your going to be out a lot more money trying to run faster than that in a single engine 28 and even then the reliability will be questionable and you'll be fighting torque steer all day long.
For what you'll pay for that 28 AT, you could have a 80+mph 28 Apache with brand new engines, brand new outdrives, brand new upholstery, and a brand new paint job.
I think you'll find that the pantera is more of a sit down boat.

I would consider selling my 28 Powerplay everything is new. Twin 450 hp small blocks just buit by Jc Performance. It has a newer triple axle trailer & new interior I just don't have time to use it. It runs right at 80 mph

Have a good freind that lives in NJ looking for a 28 +/- a foot or two single engine deep V boat, Doesn't want a sit down boat or care about fancy cabins. Top speed is more important. Would prefer a Blue Merc motor or a reputal marine engine builder. Willl be using mostly in the Bay with some ocean time also. Owns a bar and just wants a turn key boat when he finds time to get away. Has cash and waiting to pull the trigger ASAP. What is out there? Thanks in advance.

I have a 28 Warlock on ebay now 320726620997 it runs low 80's and is turn key with around 10 hours on the rebuilt engine and drive. I have it listed for a friend but I can answer any questions. he is asking $35k for it and it is in great shape.

a 2" imco shorty drive with a 30 hering prop. Full hydraulic steering, K planes, big stereo, perfect condition. Cover boat on Hot Boat in '03. Tripple axle trailer and many extras. Bottom has been completely blueprinted for a perfect ride, no porpoise or chine walk.
