What do we know about the Mercury 350 SCI outboards? I've heard through a MFG. that they have some issues and the Warranty in for only 1 Year.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth, it is sold under the Mercury Racing platform and this is a quote from the web site on warranty

^ Two-year limited warranty for recreational boating and three-year limited corrosion warranty. One-year limited Mercury Product Protection Plan available.

I have a 350 sci on my Phantom 25. Earlier I have done 1 x Promax 300 (SVS) and 2 x Merc 2.5 EFI SS engines. The 350 sci is sophistocated, pulls hard, low on fuel (4,6 mgh) and sound cool. I have only used it for 2 weeks for 15 hrs, but it has been flawless.

I know a rib offshore company from Denmark running two actionribs with twin 350 sci's. They have done 600 hrs on wot (!) without problems.
