yes but if left and right are tatooed on his hands then he could only turn left when he is throttling the boat!

Oddly enough, as recently as last month I've read threads on other boating forums that asked why one would even want a throttle set up like this. They didn't understand why they had to be so complicated.

...maybe they simplified the operation one step further - red left shoe with an "L<-" and a green right shoe with a "R->" - covers navigation and the turn direction delemna..... that said, is there the word "ROCK" on top of the cavitaion plate so when the boat stops moving after the inevitable whack or is it just inscribed into the lower .....or maybe painted on the bottom?????

This is taking the concept of "Boating for dummies" to a whole new level... and gives new meaning to "Here's your sign!!!" Signs are everywhere.

I do know of one boater that mistakenly reached for the gear shift, thinking it was throttles and went into reverse at 4000+ rpm....interesting twists inside a #6 when that happens
