Yupper. That's why I keep coming back to that 311 Formula or the bigger Baja....

So if I stay in the 30s what's the suggestion?

I know your price is under 25 k - I would almost split the price from your 25k to my 31.4 k for a 2000 / 280 Velocity.

Its listed in the Classified section under Velocity 280 in Ft. Worth, TX.

Very low hours, its up in storage on Lake Texoma, OK side ready for a test drive any day.

I would take 28.5K for it. Check prices on these boats, best price for a 280 Velocity around. Its a 70 MPH boat all day long

i have had a 28 active thunder, 28 saber, and a formula 311 - cant go wrong with any of them. formula rides like a caddy but man was it hard on fuel being and older sr1 lead sled! the 28 AT was very deep and made you feel secure and the saber is very solid.
if it were me - i would seriously consider that 28 apache, 280 velocity or even scarb3dmc's boat... 3 great options for lake erie.

Tex's boat would be a good pick if you spend most of the time on the Lake Erie. Has a good dead rise for the rough waters plus freshened engines. I, personally, like having the second engine when on the Great Lakes. You can lose an engine at any time for a number of reasons. Nice to have one to get back on.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

However the problem with buying one of your guys boats from TX is that its waaaay too far away. I can't afford to pay over 25k and the $ to go see it and bring it back also. Way out of budget for me there.

I will check out the other mentioned boats though.

We ship have an employee who does this on a part time basis but extra cost as I would only charge U an extra 1250 bucks to your doorstep . Check shipping prices that is dirt cheap and U are still under 30 K - I know not your price range but you could not touch a 2000 Pantera 28 delivered to your doorstep for under 30 K lake ready - 40 k yes - under 30 k no way. Freshwater boat no salt very low hours, I tried - Sportboats in this area are dead. Good luck with your search.

My neighbor has a SPOTLESS 30 ft scarab twin engine probably a 30k boat not to sure, next year if you want that boat you should call me.... and twin engines are good on great lakes... but my friend with a 33 tiara was out in 10 foot waves, well he lost steering, thank god for twins he was steering with tthrottles, but what if he lost an engine that would be bad

You said Velocity in the other post and Pantera in this.... Which one is the one you are thinking of dealing on? Do you have any cabin pics? I still am nervous buying something like that sight unseen though...
