I heard WELL North o 100k, Sonnys builds drag and Marine motors. I would have him build a pair with 8:1 compression and a hyraulic roller shaft, would still probably make INSANE hp and would live forever. I think EFI would a good idea too, IF I had the money!
If I win the powerball I will let you guys know how it turns out, lol Mike |

I believe Cigarette used Sonny's engines in some of their high end powerboats about 20 years ago.

Wow, never heard about marine engines from Sonnys. Do they also build the 800+ and 900+ cu. n/a engines as marine engines with low compression and pump fuel friendly?
|
right down the road from us, he still does marine setups, use to work with Hawk power a few years back.
also use to have several 555ci's on the shelf for around 12k. |

That tells me how much you know about drag motors .
I was making a joke in reference to top fuel motors that get rebuilt after every run of 1/4 mile. |

Bad ass engines for sure. But any marine engine at a 2:1 horsepower to CI ratio will need to be freshened often IMO.

Nice to bench dream about putting one of his great engine packages in a boat. The reality obviously being cost and how to find a drive system to accept it tend to wake most of us out of our dream state very quickly!
Its great fun and educational to see other individuals and companies great achievements! Best Reality Ray @ Raylar |
