Maybe running WOT in offshore conditions with 4 to 6 ft seas is impressive but on an inland lake. What were the water conditions? For those of use that do not run such a beautiful boat what are some of the skills necessary to make a run at LOTO?

For me running a 21 to 22 ft sport boat with a 21 to 22 degree deadrise with 450HP @ 70+ mph is what I call using your abilities.

Again, it's just a question from an average boater who like many can only dream to own such a powerboat.

All the best!

You are 100% correct, the water is typically calm at the shootout, but it can be a challenge with a wall on the port side, and 10,000+ spectator boats on the starboard side of the course,,, and a limited safety margin

Not trying to take anything away by any means, those are sweet numbers. I remember reading somewhere that those 1075's where turned up to 1200's for the powerboat number of 142,6 mph. Is that true, or am I being misinformed? It's been quite a while, so don't really remember where the info came from. I think it was posted here on OSO once.

Stay safe out there.

News to me. When was the actual run?

I know about the invitational at the Fountain factory were the OuterL XXX
Had mechanical trouble and was unable to run. If this was the gauntlet, they did not run and the outcome would still be up in the air.
