Again Scope delivers
 

I survived the Scope Poker run again :)
They stepped it up this year with a band on friday and sat night in long beach plus the party on Catalina saturday afternoon.
There looked to be at least 50 badass boats ( and my cruiser ) and what a good time.
Pretty cool going out of the harbor behind the fire boat blasting water every where
How many poker runs can you go on that you can stop and watch dolphins and whales, yes two years in a row hanging with some whales. :) ( left my camera at home but expect a video tomorrow )
it was in the high 80's to 90 so couldn't ask for nicer weather.
The water was a little rough but still a blast.

I agree with you, the long beach PR is a great place for a Poker Run, too bad its the same weekend as LOTO, becuz it doesn't get the recognition it deserves..!!!!

I can't wait too see your video, and yes, the weather was perfect, hot, clear, no fog etc....

Congrats on getting over to Catalina first Shawn....yea, yea, I know it's not a race. Let me put it this way, nice to see you out there hanging your ish out like it's suppsed to be done! Justin was running behind you in the all white 40 Skater, said you were lookin' good.

I ended up riding in my buddies 26 Donzi. I didnt see a smaller boat over in Catalina than that. The Donzi handled the afternoon trip back to Long Beach pretty well.

Looks like alot of fun, we always wanted todo this run. Hopefully next year will make it south for this event.

The Strut guys had one of there Skiffs with a 75 outboard make the trek before the poker run.

I was thinking......at 130-140MPH or so on the way out, would you be able to see and react to something like that? What would happen? :drink::eek::drink: I woujld have something messy in my shorts. :)

Best case is you tear a drive off, worse case you come to an abrupt stop. those things are huge.
i came up on one with the cig going about 75 and was able to go around but not sure how you would miss one at 100+
