Great Looking Boat ! The cat is deffinitely the way to go for speed and depending on the bottom design, they have the best ride in the rough stuff to. A lot of cats have a center pod (glad mine does not!) that when the water hits it at speed it makes the hull vibrate and can numb you after a while. The cats that dont have a center pod have to run a little higher speed to pack some air, but boy does it feel goooooooood and smooth when rollin!

How many other designs have you considered before you chose Profile and what kind have you driven and what were your deciding factors for Profile? (just curious)

Have fun! Be careful, the cats do deserve a certian amount of respect to handle.

bajamag, congrats. I too was going to buy one but it is just a tad bit too small for the big water poker runs. I did take three test drives in a 28 Profile. It had the 575/XR drive package and the only add on was a super chiller. Great running boat up to about 3 to 3.5feet of chop. That one i was in hit 101mph, which i just happen to have on video. Really great boat!!

Great looking boat! I've always wanted to go for a ride in one, but there is not any where I boat. I'm sure I will run in to one before long though.

bajamag - Looks sweet! Be sure to update us when you splash her.

There is a world of good info on driving cats on this board, use the search function and enjoy.
