The 1st time I covered the Atlantic City Poker Run for Powerboat Magazine, I swear Tom's spirit was in the chopper with me. Prior to getting in the chopper that day I looked towards the sun and said a few words. The amount of pressure on me that day was huge. Once I was up and shooting something changed. I suddenly just relaxed. For whatever reason, the pressure was gone. Once I got back I realized I just shot my best shoot ever. Coming away with some amazing images for the magazine. In my heart I know Tom Newby was looking after me that day... He will always be missed but never forgotten....
