Give Gus at Ohio Generator a call, he built a couple 160 amp alternators for me.They worked great on the ZO44 Corvette Boat (330)-323-5742. Theyare the best in the business.

Well stay away from the one wire alternators. They sense the voltage right at the alternator and not at the battery. Some take a few rpms to get started, some start at an idle. With fuel injection and I believe in your case, the three wire will be much better for you.
Call the guys at DB, they can probably help you out.
Or give Gus a call as Scott said. A one on one with a good alternator guy is well worth the effort.
