Why not just put Arneson's on the back? Wouldn't they handle the power and torque better?

So far they drives have not been a problem on the twin turbo engined boat I know about. It just likes to throw blades off of props. (Noticed I said blades which means it has happened more than once). In other words the standard #6 props are the weak link at the moment, not the drives.

So far the new set of props has done fine.

Always seems amazing what big horsepower and torque can do to props and shafts. I think that this was about the same horsepower level in the engines that Reggie used back a few years ago for his then v-bottom record runs. I know these are different engine animals but the horsepower is about the same. Should be interesting to see how fast that Skater will run, my guess ,185-190.
Hopefully all will go well from here on, as it seems like Sterling and others have put a lot of investment and work into this project. Best of Luck to them and "Keep it on the Rails!"

My Guess 205.
