Cafe Racer trim pump took a dump.
Original SSM III's on an 88 Cig Cafe Racer. Old Prestolite trim pump lets the drive tuck in under power and will not hold drive when I have it on the trailer to test it. The starboard drive drops about 1 inch a half hour.
I replaced a ram that was leaking and it is fine. What options do I have other that buying a new Oildyne pump for $700?
Can I replace the valve body on the old pump?

I'll get the exact model number Tuesday night and post it.
I also heard that I can buy the basic superceding Oildyne pump and up the relief valve using the shopmanual. Have you or anyone tried that ? The generic pump is about half the price of the beefier one.
