X2. A bit of shade and easy access to cold beverages and food- in Key West? at the races? what's not to like?

Ive watched from the end of Duval and from the outer mole and nothing beats the outer mole for watching the race If the weather is great, shade would be awesome SBI parties are held at some pretty cool venues and getting to talk to a few of the racers up close and personal is always an interesting time

Besides the races, make sure you hit the Conch Republic for the poker run boats, Ricks and the Tree Bar.... and pretty much any and every bar on Duval

We do race control from behind the VIP tent...........
On Sunday when it's very crowded, you get to sit under a tent instead of bleachers.......and instead of standing in a long line at a burger tent you have a top notch exclusive buffet. AND......private upscale porta potties.......
(which avoids another long line)
You are right on the water, so close to the course that you sometimes get sprayed from the boats going by......the boats are so close it's hard to take a picture.

Plan B would be to bring your own chairs, cooler, umbrella, and not mind hauling (walking) it all out to the mole area.

You do need VIP passes to get into Mel Fisher party and the awards and possibly Hard Rock, not sure what else.

Not trying to sell it, just my f.y.i. input
PD

The cocktail parties are....not as well attended as you would expect.
Cheer up Ted........have you ever been to the Hard Rock Party? Body to body ............ it's great if you are in the mood for that.........
