Anyone know this Cig?
I am new to performance boats. I boat at the Lake of the Ozarks. I have a deal about done one this boat.
http://www.pier57.com/200446CigAmericanMuscle.htm Anyone know any bad things about this boat? I about had a deal done on a different boat and found out it was a train wreck. It just seems hard to me to buy these kinds of boats. Ive had 3 different cruisers in 4 years and have had no troubles or nightmares. I'm definitely going to do my homework here. Thanks for any input. |
Call Brett @ Performance Boat Brokerage in Osage Beach. I believe he knows a little about this boat.

No performance knowledge and buying a 46rr with big power :party-smiley-004: |
I had AM II.
You can't go wrong with a 46 and merc 1075's. It will perform and react as you'd expect. AM I has some serious dollars in those raymarines and smartcraft. I'd imagine it has very little hours on it. I would not be concerned about your low experience with this boat. Insurance through world wide marine (Bob Luellan) would be about 3K. This boat will be in great condition as long as Pier 57 hasn't sent it out on poker runs which I don't think they have. New about a million bucks... 80 or so hours later 1/3 the cost. The depreciation is about over. How many hours on boat and engines? |

Probably be tanked before I start as well. I used to fly planes and was methodical with my training and maintenance. I have moved on. So I am not an idiot who takes uncalculated risks. I am taking the Tres Martin Course and have several friends with boats like this. |
Saw the boat in 04 Key West poker run.We was in a 03 Lip Ship Top Gun. Loved the American Muscle. Thats all I know. Beautiful. Good luck with your purchase.Hope to see you on the water. :ernaehrung004:

That is one nice machine. As mentioned, call Brett w/PBB at LOTO, nice honest guy. It would be good to start a relationship w/PBB anyhow if purchasing a performance boat for future needs. Good luck & Congrats! I look forward to hopefully seeing you running at LOTO.

How many hours on boat and engines? 200 total hours on boat 30 hours on rebuilt motors Has been in dry storage about a year (not on poker runs) They have gone through the boat completely and fixed all paint dings etc. He says "it looks far better in person than in the pictures" If everything checks out on the marine survey, I'm going to own this boat!! |

1075 are great motors and if they have been rebuilt with new parts, current part numbers the fact that they WERE the first motors should be irrelevant now.
Dave Woods and Peir 57 stand behind what they sell. We are very happy with our MTI and love our 1075's. You have the right dealer now you just have to decide whether its the right boat for you. :drink: |

If they were rebuilt 30 hours ago, and the boat has 200 hours on it, they were NOT always broke. Just for thought. Pier 57 is a trust worthy dealership, I've bought two boats from them in the last year, the 1075 is a great engine, if you had any problems they will take care of you

Brett doesnt know the boat and Tim wasnt at Cigarette during this time. I was the one and only owner of that Cig. It was taken care of with an open checkbook and always by the book. It has full receipts with everything that was done to it. Pier57 is extremely reputable and the only dealer who I buy from. Go see the boat. It is beautiful, was well taken care of and at a dealer who you cannot go wrong with.

Thank you for the compliments guys. Going to be adding some new toys to the stable very soon....stay tuned!!!!
By the way I have a lot of trust in Brett as well. He has done several things for me on this new boat and he always is first class and top notch. I'm even helping him sell another Cig right now to a friend of mine. Tim is a great guy too, just haven't done business with him in a few years now since he moved over to Deep Impact. |

for 240k that boat is a steal, and you should'nt need a rebuild for at least another season, awesome boat
|
Pier 57 is the one place you can trust, which is hard to find. Carry and David are very honest guys, they have been around thru the rough times and never had a bad reputation no matter who you ask period.
|
Good looking boat......
|
BraceYourself owned this boat and from buying a Lambo from him I know that when he owned it everything was in top shape.
Make your own research and be careful of expert bozos with keyboards as oppose to people with actual boats and experience... |

46 Cig
It's a nice boat and David is a stand up guy.
The boat was owned by a consumer in Indiana and used in multiple places. It was traded in on new Cig, came thru our dealership and ended up at Pier 57. The motors were fresh and had receipts for work done which I am sure Pier 57 has. I would call David or Carey and discuss with them, the boat did not have to much use.
