Anybody know the history?

I don't know that particular boat. But, a close friend has a 29 Profile. It's a BIG boat for a single. Takes a lot of power to get it moving. The only other thing I can say is do your homework before buying. Profile has had a lot of bad press.

Kryptonite, best running boat in its class for a balance of rough water and speed

I am a BIG guy (6'1" 350lbs)I really want something with bolsters, I have NEVER felt comfortable in seats...

I like the Kryptonite, sleek looking and fast, but it just seems like a shallow sided hull, no way could you put bolsters in there.

There have been a couple kryptos with bolsters, but it doesnt really work out well IMO. it is a fairly low boat that is designed to be a sit down boat. If you stand up half your body is in the wind, it isnt very comfortable.

I dont think I could ever own a stand up boat, it is much nicer to sit down, better ride and feels much more secure in rough water.

Bolsters mean tall boat which means less speed. Try out a kryptonite with tall race like seats and it's great. I have a sit down warlock and I will never go back to bolsters.
If you want bolsters in that size range it takes out the fastest of boats.
A fountain 33 is really a 30 and they are pretty cheap. I think kachina has one but they are 70mph boats like the Fountain. Not dogging them but that's what all that freeboard does plus they usually have a big useless cabin.

Whats up bud, what are you driving now?

What do you think of a Donzi 28ZX scorpion...

I'm boatless, went thru a couple of Fountains and I'm shopping again.

I'm not a huge Donzi fan.

What about this?

I've never liked the top deck of a Velocity, the way it swoops to meet the winsheild.

Ok, I know the owner, he wants to get it moved and it's solid. Made me think of this thread, I'll keep looking. :coolcowboy:
