Note the low [ 170] hrs on that Mirage. It has steps, put a couple prochargers [ my friend did on his 29 Baja Outlaw with same engines ] on and you'll be cruising 75miles an hour.Boat has inner liner and put together very well, Pictures on the website don't show the boat well.

Ps; if I didn't already own a boat, this would be in my garage.it's for sale for the fraction of what it cost new,and it's nothing short of a Cadillac if you know what I mean.My buddy has a 34 with 575's and it a wave crusher. http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/16413

Here is a better deal and still in production plus the customer service is second to none with Kenny and Steve at Velocity Powerboats. Also something in the 2000's.

For the money and condition of the boat this is a great deal plus the boat is 100 % turn key. Not needing anything nor proper maintenance. Its all done for the year. Again 100 % turn key.

Berts boat is real nice - drive & rides great. If he was to come down I will buy it for a personal boat. The one thing I do not perfer is a mid cabin boat, some like it & want it and some do not want a mid cabin, I can only speak for myself.

Wink

That is a GOOD deal, what kind of speed you think that would run?

Also what about this boat: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/19...ncer-101701190

Too underpowered?

I don't think what it runs I know what speed it runs as I use this boat out on the water a tad bit. I do this for a living - 22 years now. The speed is 66 to 70 MPH all day long. Depends on water conditions, load & fuel and of course how well U can drive - trim - tab and so forth. It will not handle big big water like the 30 ft Lavey nor like an AT but it will turn better and tighter than 95 % of anything on the market. It can hold its own in rough water and speed - apples to apples.

Go to the Velocity forum and read about them. Velocity boats are drivers boat nothing like a sport cruiser. If this had a Merc 525 hp upper 70's would be very doable.

They are not slow pigs at all. The bottom is a non step - wide pad bottom with a notch transom. Any questions call Velocity themselves, they will talk boats all day long with you.

Steve and Kenny are straight shooters plus still today offer great customer service even if you bought a boat some where else. A boat still in production and still building is a huge plus.

Most boat cosignments will always need some form attention and the seller of the cosign could care less about any maintenance or a complete inspection. They are in it for the 10 % of the sale price so of course its a great boat. Anyways good luck and I would get a full inspection on any boat ur planning to buy. I welcome it on any boat that I have for sale. No cobb job crap comes out of my shop period - everything I sell is 100 % turn key - Merc / Mercruiser certified parts, sales & service.

Neither the Velocity or Powerquest fits your original search. They aren't 30 footers even with the built in swimgrids.Buddy of mine has the 32 Velocity with 525's [ 32 with built in swimgrid] which I'd go for 30 foot. What great about the Baja OL series was they were given true lengths without add on swim platforms, hence a 29 Outlaw looked huge compared to a 29 Fountain for instance.Just saying!

With only a 454mpi in it, it will be slow, around low 60's.

Velocities are pretty fast hulls, John knows his stuff, so you can take his word as truth.

I'm just burnt out on looking for my perfect boat...

I think I am going to go pick up a Scarab 302 Sportfish to offshore fish and go to poker runs with.

Just to run for this season.
