[QUOTE=automobili_v12;3532787]That aronow 47 was a boat similiar to a cary or magnum and had like a 12" or 14" Beam, the one they are talking about is a 8" Beam.

How does this boat compare to the 49' Cigarette Grand Sport in terms of power, speed and handeling?

I found this stuff researching my 37.
That 47 is a BEAST!! 35,000 lbs! |
Owner Tony Frisina commented “Don Aronow is world reknown as the father of offshore powerboating and is an American Legend. In tribute to Don, we will build Hull #1 exaclty as he designed it, creating a state of the art time piece in his honor. This large offshore boat has a large luxury cabin, a spacious cockpit and features one of the largest engine rooms ever designed in an offshore powerboat.
The 47 Aronow Tribute will be a one time build and is being offered to the public to purchase with multiple engine packages available. The Frisini Motorsports version of the 47 will be completely updated with changes to the design for more of a modern era look and feel. It will boast a large and roomy cabin as well as a plethora of amenities for boaters who demand only the best. It will be offered with Mercurys new 1100 and 1350 Twin Turbo engines and It will also feature a new state of the art step bottom giving it the performance that is the epitome of the Don Aronow legacy. ”The performance boat market has seen better days for sure, but a Legendary boat like this will never die” said John Cunningham, head of Marketing and Sales “The response from avid offshore boaters has been incredible to say the least and am shocked to see how many boaters have interest in this Don Aronow original. I am looking forward to taking her out for a ride for the first time" Frisini Motorsport's corporate office is based across the Hudson river from New York City on the Jersey shore and the boats are being built in the current manufacturing plant in sunny Fort Pierce Florida. |

IIRC the original specs say it weighed 25,000lbs, and it may come out even lighter depending on Frisini's layup schedule. Can't wait to see #1 run! Should be offered with diesels too. |
Hi,
I am buying a Aronow 47, the 8'' beam, same as the white and red on pictures from Olli. Does anyone knows how the stringers are made?? wood or foam inside the Stringers. Is the hull only monolithic polyester or sandwich polyester ?? thanks a lot. |
Post up some pics. Where did it come from?

Cool. I like these boats a lot. What's your plan for it?

Tooling is still alive and well. There is a blank hull available. I can get you hooked up with with the person who worked for Don A when originals were produced (and who owns tooling). PM me with questions and contact info and I can pass it along.

Just wondering how this updated 47' Aronow is coming? Has the mold be updated? Have any been pulled at this time?

I'm rebuilding my 90 37 right now with a few stringers, transom, and upgrading to #4's. I'd be interested in talking to anyone who originally built these.

Looking for Information
Sorry to dredge up an old thread guys, does anyone know about the 1997 era arnow 47’? I’m looking at one, an 8 footer with triple 502’s, any information on the hull would help!

I don’t have much to add except, a dude runs one in havasu from time to time. All red. Don’t know what drives/power but it’s super good looking. |
He's might be referring to the black and white one on FB ?..........you'd need a Semi to tow it..........:lolhit:
|
that boat for sale with triples looks to be very salty do your homework and inspect it close a cheap boat is often the most expensive!
