The engine hatches were ripped off and the canopy was ripped off like a soup can. I cant imagine being in the boat when the canopy let go and 1000 gallons of water hit you in the helmet visor...
Probably not as fun as the log flume at Six Flags - I can guarantee that much.

I checked it out. Granted it was messed up( and I was a Little intoxicated), but considering it was a Submarine, there was not
any damage to the sponsons that was visable.
Hatches can be rebuild, Now the canopy may be another story.
