Where is the NC flip video, from a few years ago?

Just saw it on a recent thread about Big thunder, What saved old Barry was that his boat landed on it's side instead of the top after the blow over.

How long ago was that? Hard to believe 130 was on the edge when you can purchase a new poker run boat that will easily eclipse that.

That was back in the APBA LLC days when we severely restricted the carbs on the Super Cat engines to keep speeds down. We did not want the boats exceeding 130 mph in race conditions, so we also strictly regulated hull and deck modifications and changes from one model year to the next. The formula worked.

I always thought SuperCat (750) was one of the greatest classes. That was some awesome racing, good to see theres guys like JD, Talkin Trash etc that still believe in that formula. Would be great to see fleets like when the LLC was around. I forgot Cat Can Do was a 750 when i commented on the speed.

they were lucky in their landing...

Ryan Beckley 11-17-2011 06:09 PM

This was a modified class boat not a 750 Sc.
