Outlerlimits SV-40 Rehab
5 Attachment(s)
A new project arrived at International Performance today.
New paint, rebuilt engines, and complete re-rig are in the works. The boat will be offered forsale when its finished. |
what happend why did boat need so much work?
How much different is the bottom of the 40 vs the 43? That boat looks stable as table in the video. Sweet looking boat
Rik, there is actually quite a difference. The 43 is actually more stable and runs flatter. Both great bottoms.
What happened to that boat??? It looks completely trashed.
The boat was in the process of board sanding to bring the finish work up from a race boat finish when it was built, to a flawless deck and hillsides before painting. It was actually just basic paint and stick on graphics when new. The shop where it was worked on was closed and ran off with the customers money. It's been sitting for over a year like this.
This is gonna be an awesome thread. Please post pics as the rehab continues! :)
Love that boat! Thanks for the pics! Keep us updated. Is it going to be rigged into a pleasure boat or kept as a raceboat?

That boat is sick! . . . . . even in the shape its in its still bad azz! . . . . . cant wait to se the rehab pics as it comes along. Keep 'em coming.
Its a shame when things like this get out of hand and a shop loses touch, looses accountability. Sorry for the aggravation you must have been through. Its an amazing boat and its good to see it getting back on track. |
stupid question ..do those enclosed canopy boats have ac or do you just sweat when its hot??
AC and yes you still do...

Think JC rebuilt the motors year or two ago. The 40 is one of the best bottom ever built. For its size there is not another boat of any manufacture that would conpare.

JC did build the motors and recently Ron Potter has gone thru them and detuned them down to 900's
Dan, how many feet long is the boat overall and how many feet from the back of the boat is the actual running surface??
That is a very hot and sexy looking boat!!!!!
Can't wait for the progress pics on this one!
