Sounds very good. That boat must really accelerate well with the 30's.

When the boat is setup right its 90mph unless it is dead flat and way hot. It takes about a 2' chop and cool air to get the best tops speeds. No steps you know. Last year I was slower than usual with about 87 any time. That should be fixed for next season. Going back to my bobs nose cones and side water pickeup lowers. Plus engines are both all forged now so I may spin to a higher rpm. I'm also kicking around finding a couple sets of 1.65 gears and trying them out. My buddy (jetmech) with a scarab viper has big hp improvement plans for this winter so I need to up my game

Sounds like a plan. The days of Maloneys (a bar) are but a memory. Ventura's still is there.
Spent some summer days as a teenager on the Washington Ave beach watching Mr. Kerbeck (he had a red Excalibur Executioner in those days, 1983 or so) and those guys run up and down the ocean arcing on Sunday afternoons. That beach was always packed with talent (hot girls on the beach).
Margate memories (not Memories Lounge in Margate, for those who know), I liked Maynards back then.

That old resin bucket is a rocketship from a 50mph roll on! The first time we ran he suprised the crap out of me when he stood on it.
He pulls two boat lengths quickly, and usually the race is over before I can reach top speed and reel him in. Of course I am afraid of lunching my drive every time i stand on it. Plus mine being a single takes a lot longer to wind out, especially with the 32" Bravo on it. Spin that one 5800rpm...
In my defense I have also not raced Dave without having at least 4 adults on board. The extra weight makes a big difference on a light boat like this.
With 4 people on board and most of a tank of fuel i can run 92mph just about any day of the week. Empty and with just two on board....use your imagination....
