my dyno sheet is on page 4. i will be trying a 1 inch spacer in the drive in the spring. mabye i should b faster idk? i have a bravo x upper -1 imco sc lower. i think i was held back by the props. it did run 85 with a 28" bravo around 5700 making peak hp at 6300. i feel with some fine tuning it should run high 80's to 90. lets keep torque in consderation too when talking about hp. also its not a stepped hull.
+1 for a pontoon boat that can run 100. thats just nuts! |

Where is Smitty when you need him. Here is the crane spec sheet on your cam.
http://www.cranecams.com/product/car...detail&p=24223 700HP you say. Hmmmm. Really curious to see those dyno sheets. Be sure to include all of the dyno data. Fuel and air numbers count too. No criticisms or nonsense. Just some straight honest questions. Afterall, your the one touting the 700 number. |
I think the dyno sheets show 699.2 @6278rpm... Crank and corrected but that validates a 700hp claim as far as I'm concerned.

smitty, how are u going to compare a 1000+hp boat to one that allegedly only has 600 hp? in reality 700hp. call bandit performance marine, 732-477-7400 and ask for danny, the engine builder. theyre a great bunch of guys very knowledgeable and im sure he will gladly have a 20 min discussion with you about how my 510 motor he built made 700 hp. |
use good parts, u get good hp. research aed performance carbs out of virginia. i have a 1050 dominator redone by them to exactly match my motor and it gave almost a 25 hp gain over a stock 1050. profiler jr intake manifold, canfield's, 2.25int scorpions 1.90exh ferrera, ferrea springs and retainers, 1.7 rockers, (crane gold in pictures but i changed those out for scorpion offshore endurance rockers), 10.0-1 comp, bandits custom piston with teflon coated skirts, gas ports and total seal rings, scat rods, stock forged crank.
