First time poster. OL40SVX seams to be a lot of second guessers on the OL brand here and there....but I will never forget the first time I saw an OL in person I believe it was a 43 closed canopy here at the dock on Hartwell lake in Anderson SC. I think it is owned by a local guy named Buck Fulp not sure I'm spelling his name correctly but I had the chance to talk with him and watch him start those 1075s. All I can say is VERY IMPRESSIVE boat. I can't wait to see this open bow you speek of.:drink:

Correct, Buck Fulps SV43 Holy Smoke. Great boat! Welcome!

Real bad idea....Nordic did this to their 35 Flame sold two then sales on the closed bow version completely disappeared and value cratered. Boat looked downright silly and was never taken serious again. Cobalt, Rinker, Sea Ray and Four Winns all build nice bow riders, leave it to them.
OL builds an awesome performance boat, stay with what ya know. My 2 cents |

The boat is for a repeat Outerlimits customer and it is what he wanted. Every Outerlimits is custom built for their owner.

The boat will far exceed 75mph.
a 19500-20,000k pound 52' long NT runs 86.4mph with the 480 Yanmar/Arneson drives..and the OL will be lighter. I still like the Arnesons over the nxt's..all day long. |

Fountain built a 47 Lightning bowrider in 98. I believe there was only one built.
