Default British Projects

Hi all,
Thought you might be interested in a couple of projects we have on:
The first is our current boat which is a Hunton XRS37 sports cruiser which has very comfortable accomodation and is an excellent rough water boat, it is fitted with Volvo D6 diesel engines with DPR drives, engines have been extensively modified, boat runs at just over 70mph and has racked up almost 1000 hrs in four seasons so we thought it was time for a refresh at the same time we will extract some more power change the weight distribution and reduce the overall weight a little, we are hoping to run in excess of 75mph with the new modifications.

The second project is a Hunton XRS Special which is constructed out of kevlar it is slightly longer than the previous boat and is fitted with a pair of Ilmor 725's with Indy drives. Virtually all the rigging parts have been hand constructed by myself specifically for the project, the object is to build as light as possible and something that is totally unique.

We have a couple of build threads on www.boatmad.com here are the links:

Best of luck with the builds and thanks for sharing. Ilmor 725's seems like a great choice for power.
