Old Thread. Does anyone know if the turbo lived under the hatch/cover in psi's boat? How about the hatch, did it get hot? Or did the turbo blanket do the trick?

I don’t recall but there was definitely a ton a space in there.

Funny this got brought up, I actually talked to Brendan a couple weeks ago about this, here is what he said:

The turbine housing I did was not a stainless housing and to be honest I never used it! I built the water cooled exhaust manifold and just coated the turbine housing and put a blanket on it and always left it that way! Between the coating and the thick turbo blanket it brought the heat way way down!
Lucky thing about my setup is I only need 1 turbo, different when it's a twin turbo big block or 4 turbos in a twin engine setup!

It did and as was pointed out there is a lot of room under there..

That boat was well downsides, ran good at the shootout last year, and has been tested over time and is holding up.
