I certiantly agree with you on that GLH. but it is ashame that the coladeral damage of that beautiful boat could have been avoided if he followed a simple safety precaution. I can't speak for everyone on this board but I think it was meant to be an illistration/reminder of what can happen to anyone of us with one split second stupid thought or move and that a lanyard could prevent further damage, injury or death.

I will be the first to admit that I have made my fair share of mistakes over my last 28 yrs of boating and thankfully have been lucky not to have the result that he and others have had.
