I was driving north on I-95 through jacksonville Fl and I saw five of these on the side of the road each one had a blue truck pulling it.

mxz800 06-17-2002 06:00 PM

did it look like govt tags onit. some serious pulling rigs there.

38ZR 06-17-2002 06:02 PM

I have been told that these are the trucks the military uses to pull them around. These are the same boats that innovation marine builds the 800hp n/a motors for.

38ZR 06-17-2002 06:07 PM

It was strange to see them beacuse about 20 min prior I stopped to look at two of these for sale at a heavy equip. dealer on I-95. The two for sale were total junk, someone used a saw to remove the drives and housings.

cigarette1 06-17-2002 06:09 PM

Movie props ?????

vonwolske 06-17-2002 06:10 PM

Did the guys driving have turbans?

Seriously, what type of boats are these? Anybody?

26scarab 06-17-2002 06:34 PM

Bad ass tow vehicles !

Dave F 06-17-2002 07:03 PM

Hmmm,

Govt. tags, Govt. paint.

My "Spidy sense" tells me DEA.

NW_Jim 06-17-2002 07:59 PM

These are Navy Seal boats. I see them in our Shipyard all the time. Lots of tight security. They only move them around in the yard on swingshift. They come in on Semi flatbeds with trailer attached then are unloaded by crane and moved on trailer from there.

If these have motors built by Innovation, they are experimenting with some really 'bad ass stuff", we would all love to have some of the big stuff they are building for our US Govt. How about 700 + inch big block, with 900+ HP, that run on under 80 Octaine, yes its true, they are building that kind of stuff, because you can't get half way decent gas in "most" parts of the world. Hook one of those motors up with some good ole Sunoco ultra 94 and you got over 1000 HP and over 1000 lbs of toque at 4500rpm, but remember, this project is being funded by the biggest pocketbook in the orld. UNCLE SAM. We all should just dream!

Navy Seal Rigs

Also known as HSB's "high speed boats"... I saw one for sale somewhere recently..Freind of mine was a seal ..He said they'll run them right up on shore at speed if its a one way mission. Not sure whos making them for the gov. but theres a bunch of them out there ..Almost looks like a Cougar

FloridianSon 06-17-2002 08:30 PM

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THIS POST SHOULD BE DELEATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND FORGET WHAT YOU SAW:D

Pantera1 06-17-2002 08:34 PM

Dock Holiday 06-17-2002 08:51 PM

Damn that is cool. Thanks very much for stopping to take the pictures and sharing with us.

Just a couple of thoughts here.

1) Looks like a Myco trailer with holes drilled for less weight?
What would be the purpose of that, especially with those killer trucks?

2) No steps, pads, beaks or bull?
Big horsepower, but how fast?
Why would they not use stepped hull boats? Handling issues?

3) What outdrives do you think those are?

Inquiring minds want to know

Mark

The trucks are F-700's, Seal teams and Serect service use them,
the lighter trailer is to reduce weight when transporting on aircraft, most of the time AF C-5's move them team and all.
when stationed in maine, the SS would bring up a couple and store them in a hanger while George SR. was in Kennebunk, along with other toys as well.

Here's the one for sale on E-Bay.....
Navy Seals Boat
I know it's not flashy but it might make a good poker run boat. Sure would turn some heads.

Pres. Bush is supposed to be in Florida (Orlando) on Friday.
Don't know if he's going to any other places.
Wonder if they're bringing them in for security.

2 years ago my brother and I were boating out in the Atlantic, out of Port of Canaveral and 3 of these bad boys pulled up @ the public boat ramp. We had just launched the Velocity and were idleing out and we waited around to see if these SEAL guys were going to run out in the ocean. But they just launched the boats and idled them into the Navy Trident basin. We went boating, came back about 3 hours later and the Seals were putting one of the boats back on the trailer. My bro' went up and started asking them questions, and got a nice reply, "Sir I can't talk about these boats". My brother took his knukle and started tapping on the hull and the SEAL said, "Sir please don't do that"! About then I walked up and informed my brother, "Cut that crap out, or we going to get in deep sh!+!! The Seal driver said, "that's ok, it's just my job to be quiet" He then asked where are the best bars in town, I steered him to Coconuts in Cocoa Beach!

BTW, these boats have underwater exhaust, in the bottom of the boat and they are SOOO QUITE, it's amazing!

cigarette1 06-18-2002 01:48 PM

Dean Ferry 06-18-2002 05:26 PM

Can't believe it's that big a secret!

They drive them down the road. A close eyeball would give it away. We really need to know who buids it.
Waiting with bated breath!

Next time I see em being off loaded, I'll check it out if I can get close enough. Sometimes they have guards with serious fire power.

shifter 06-21-2002 12:45 AM

They said no. Sorry.

Just give us a hint

Just a hint , like the first letter or something ?:D

shifter 06-22-2002 12:15 AM

Lebenworth;) :(

vonwolske 06-22-2002 05:46 PM

Lebenworth? Would that perchance be Levenworth, as in Kansas?
Ok, everybody, who makes boats in Kansas? That is the only connection that I can make. HELP, HELP!!!!!!

BFentiman 06-22-2002 06:15 PM

IMP makes boats in Kansas as well as Cobalt, but I seriously doubt it is either of these two manufacturers.

shifter 06-23-2002 01:53 AM

That was not a hint, just a gov prison.:)
