Yep, Eddie is correct. we did some twin turbo BBCs for Abu Dhabi that had to run inlet restrictors per rules. The air at the inlet had to be close to supersonic. It just doesn't seem right

Thanks I knew there had to be an illogical reason.

The intake is way too small.

Interesting way to restrict power, easy to measure.

any RPM restriction
