Yes overall formula is doing better BUT only because of its cruiser side of the business. The fas tech line is just as bad as any other production boat. Plus they are way over priced in todays economy. Especially when you can get way more for your money in a larger faster used boat. Un fortunately the fas tech line is outdated....and I bet money formula continues not to update it.
I'm just curious... in what way(s) do YOU feel that the FasTech line of boats are "outdated"??? (!)

In the used market Formula boats are sweet! Especially if the owner selling it is not crazy upside down due to formula financing.
No hard feelings just helping the original poster realize the options out there:-)
Unless your willing to prove any part of my statement wrong I would rather not ruin this thread.

2. Paint schemes need updating (maybe some outside vendors)
3. Windshields- They need to offer the race fairing instead
Formula builds a nice boat but no one is going to pay big money for a slow boat that looks like it is 10 years old.

Just got back from the Houston boat show. No FASTechs brought to the show, dealer said they were not the right fit for the show, ie. they were not selling any, so did not bring any. I was bummed, I went just to see the go fasts'.

I concur on the pricing, but the new FX5 is one sweet ride. By far the best looking and most efficient multi-purpose boat I've seen. They didn't have any FastTechs at the Annapolis Boat show either.

The grab handle is from the top of the swim ladder door, and has been removed for the show so no one trips over it.
Staggered engines, race fairings and graphics are personal choices, not mandatory technology.
Comparing a new boat (with full warranties) to ANY used boat is apples-and-oranges.
This boat is clearly highly-optioned, with Platinum graphics, GPS and (no doubt) other options. Based on what I can see from the photos, MSRP is $436,295 or more.
Compare the $270,000 to a new 35 Nor-Tech, OuterLimits, Cigarette, Sonic, or ???? with the same power and options, and then we have a legitimate comparison.
Yes Formula's cruiser/SS lines kept the company afloat, but that doesn't change the status of "the other guys".
