What is this worth?
This person is offering me a trade for one of my rare classic cars in my collection. The boat is too big and not practical for my lake. I would need to sell quickly. What is this thing worth? Any input will be appriciated. Thanks
The 34' OCEAN EXPRESS, is currently set up with RAVEN RACE TEAM, APBA, sanctioned certified P-2 class engines. 10 hrs new,468cub 700hp, carburetor engines, with Arneson drop box surface piercing drives. Passed every certification for APBA, racing standards, including, reserve air supply capability, communications, video camera recording, and GPS navigation. Roll cage canopies, etc, etc.

Would like to know more about the year of the boat, hull condition, and engines/exhaust. Using the SWAG theory (Simple Wild Ass Guess), my $.02 opinion is $45K-$55K.
That is a maybe, might be less. Whatever the total value of the hardware is what it is worth, that opinion may hurt some feelings.

The "Blue Max" has a lot of race history behind it. Not sure of the value though. Here is a thread on it. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/o...ctive-cat.html

I hate to reverse your question but what's the car he wants to trade worth?
And what year is his boat?
I'd hate to make a guess but I'd say she's worth some jack to the right buyer. But, and this is a big but, where's the right buyer at the right price in today's market. You might take a beating to move it quickly if the car has equal value.
She's certainly well equipped for going fast!!!
See ya,
Kelly

Selling fast? I would think 25K in pieces. 10K for drives, 10 for motors hull and rigging, 5k for trailer. If you had 60-90 days or until mid summer, maybe 40-45K to the right buyer?
