Rough Water, and fast in rough water, and newer and 26'-29' based on that criteria alone....Activator (Rage)

Your choice above 86 mph, 114 mph, or 97mph. Not a bad choice, depends on how well your wallet is filled. I like the 2010 Activator with the 740 hp motor, Imco Extreme drive, for $74,900. Nice almost new boat that will run 97 mph, very nice.

Velocitys are very fast straight bottom boats, not a bad deal. And yes, to have a 29' Fountain you'd need a 32 Fever. What is your price range? There's Sutphen as well. Personally I really don't like the look of Panteras, but hey, that's me.

What is your definition of big water? someone mentioned 2' waves. I don't think that's big water. If I had to run in 5' waves in a 28' boat, I would want an Active Thunder.

If its just speed. 29kryptonite, 30 phantom, Superboat. Warlock is not fast in glass. Fountain 29 is like a big 25 so that is up to you, but it's no 30. The other are all almost 30. They were built for f1. You can find light layups in most of these boats.

I don't think anybody would want to be in 5's in a 30 on purpose at speed. That's not boating that's torture(: I don't care who makes it that won't be fun.

If your looking for a new boat Outerlimits is unvailing their new SV29 at the Miami boat show in a few weeks. If you are not looking for new I would seriously consider any of the 29 Activators over the rest.
