I think its exciting to see any kind of new Styles or Designs on the Drawing Boards.... these manufacturers take all the risk in presenting something like this. Why not give them the benefit of the doubt?

Lets consider that and what a positive it is for the Performance Boat Industry... lets table the criticism and sideline talk until the real numbers are out there...and if you don't like it... don't buy it?
Agreed 100%. If I had the opportunity to get to Miami this year the little OL would have been the first boat I'd be looking at. While the bigger offerings are impressive, many of them are the same sh!t different day. Nice to see a few new models/companies like the new OL, GTMM, and PowerPlay in this horrendous market.

I will have to see proof of this pleasure 29 warlock running 100mph with a 525, because that is faster than the SVL boats, which are basically potatoe chips with seats in them.

I have a big single, and torque steer is almost nonexistent unless you are trimmed waay up. I can run 80+ all day cruising without even holding on to the wheel. yes, drive longevity can suffer, but I got 82 hours on my upper gears before a rebuild and just turned 120hours on the lower gears without a rebuild, and that is with 60 hours of 800hp and the rest at 750hp N/A.

Also, if you have never ridden in a sit down boat, I highly suggest you try it. After three seasons sitting in my boat, standing feels terrible while riding in friends boats.

I will take my light single any day of the week.

You are correct about the Superboat Y2K with a 525 the boat runs in the mid 80s I had one with a 800hp and Konrad drive and the boat ran 94mph and with a bravo it would have ran high 97 or so
Because you loose some horsepower with the Konrad but they don't. Break. That boat had a lot more room in it then OL too
And a lot cheaper.

Whether I like it or not doesn't really matter so long as they're sellin em! Kudos to OL for getting a smaller boat into the market!

They are certainly alot cheaper, but the Y2Ks are also a 7 foot beam boat arent they? What is the beam on the OL? I havent seen enough pictures to know which one has more room in it. It appears to have similar room to my 29 Kryptonite, which has ALOT more room in it than a Y2k, mostly due to the 8.2' beam. I have climbed all over a Y2k and while they are great boats, they are narrow. The only place that they have the room that the Krypto doesnt is head room in the cabin.

Until I see one in person or side by side with a similar sit down 29-30 footer I cant really say if it is more room or not.

If this boat really runs a solid 90 with an unmolested 525efi, that is a fantastic setup. There are not many full pleasure boats with a cabin that can claim that. They are expensive though.

Sitting back and watching this pissing match is entertaining.
The 28 Apache is a nice boat, a classic, and would be a sweet boat to restore, but at its current configuration it is, in my opinion, overpriced. It is in need of a fresh paint job and full interior... Which if I bought it, it would recieve via Mitcher T and XT-Innovations. I think that would be a killer restore thread documenting each change as it happened.
As far as the new 29OL i thought it looked incredible no matter what name was on it. It looks like its going 150mph standing still. I'm glad outerlimits and hustler are putting emphasis on the smaller market as well... How many mid 40 footers with 100k paint jobs and 300k in power are introduced each year? Ya they are AWESOME but we never see any smaller boats getting attention. To each their own, and I'm just glad people are still making boats... Because before too long burning gas with this level of inefficiently will no longer be acceptable. And that is a fact.

Thumbs up Come on..

They came on here touting and promoting a new product. That was the point of the thread.

Can't believe what I've read up to this point. But the worst part is: all the jabs at price point.

Geezus, if you are looking at OL new or used you're not the "price point shopper". It was never meant for someone comparing prices to other boats. Maybe I'm wrong here but I've always been under the impression that Fiore doesn't care about where other boats come in on price. I thought his goal was to be the high-end for a small, niche part of the already limited high-end buyers.

Of course it's expensive and I won't have one. But sure is nice to see any movement in the market.

It's a real nice boat. Incredibly light for it's size. Give'em a compliment or maybe consider ignoring.

Talk about pizzing on a parade where you're not even captive.

Hey guys easy on the warlocks. Mine runs 91. Balsa core etc. I like the ol hard to believe 90 out of a 525 but if true thats amazing. I like the boat and I get the comparisons but it's like comparing a shelby to a Lamborghini. Both get it done just way differently.
Hats off to them for bringing a new model to market.

Hats off... As far as Fit, Finish and Quality go Outerlimits is at the top of the charts. And this new and exciting 29 is no exception. Beautiful boat. Truly amazing fit and finish that the "smaller" single engine boats I have seen are lacking. As far as the price I Feel you get what you pay for. Look at the hardware.
Great job Outerlimits!

I think the Hustler 29' looks more like something from OL, and the 29' OL looks more like an updated(albeit very cool) Hustler. But what the hel do I know.
