I was there on a 47 Fountain with 1200's....we were one of the first boats to leave after lunch...... we were running 110 in some fairly choppy water and both the OL and The Statement passed us like we were sitting still....I believe the Statement was running turbine engines....it was pretty cool that morning but had warmed up considerably by lunch

That Statement moves out!!!

Actually, as I recall there was a video of these two cats running that day, I think it was shot from the Statement (although I could be wrong). I dont know if the OL was running wide open, but the Statement was slowly walking away.

and i guess you can say the engines were on conservative mood, since redline was 7800rpm and 1800hp,but you were only given 7000-7200rpm limit.and it was put there a couple of times.
Why in the world do you keep talking like you were there? RPM was actually 7400rpm for 2+ minutes and oil psi started to drop a little, and yes, cure was to put 2 more lines but don't get me started on all that crap. Motors were also not setup at 1800hp, they were closer to 1600hp for the KW run as they had the larger pulley and the excessively rich tune.

Again, I was in the boat for the entire run so I know what happen. Oil psi started to drop, backed off to 6500rpm then smelled fuel. Turned out somebody forgot to tightent the little 1/4" SHCS that secures the fuel rail to the manifold, and that is why we stopped, took 15 minutes to fix while everyone passed, and then ran by ourselves to the lunch stop.

We ran and kept up with the statement for a damn good distance which is pretty good considering they've got nearly 2250+hp turbines.

Its when we were slowing down at it was from the statement boat, but not sure if the Statement was WOT, I just know we were both going around 170mph and we were full of 116 octane fuel, tools, testing equipment, 6 people......

Anyone need a deck/boat hand for their highend offshore boat/company and wanna start me at north of 80k? LOL
Haha, I was kinda thinking the same thing, only I'd settle for deck handing on a boat like yours.....but my salary needs are about 6 figures. Looks like GM's never giving anyone a raise anyways so time to move on to "mooch" as a title.....

I have no dog in this fight but this is how I see it. Back in the day Fountain and OL were talking trash. When it came time to prove it one boat set a speed record while the other boat didn't even come off the trailer. This might bother some people.

Just sayin.
