I cant believe some of the theme boats lately. I know the quality is off the chart but a lot of 'em look like they belong on a 1970's Chevy van or a motorcycle tank. Guess beauty is in the eye eh . . . . .

Agree on a lot of this though. The quality and attention to detail in some of these paint jobs is amazing but as far as taste/looks go WTF. Some of them are cool as hell but maybe for cover art or a glossy magazine add, not on a power boat.

I have a standard line for awful stuff like this: "Somebody thinks it's hot."

mine is "man that cost an awful lot of money to make it look like azz" :D

Don't misunderstand my comment. I bet the quality of the paint job is 100%.
I'm sure the painter just followed someones instructions.

I wonder if he put his name and logo on the boat though.

They could always put an all white wrap on some of those theme boats.

All of the "theme" boats should be burned or chipped up.

Sorry but I think this tops them all, it's one thing to have a silly paint job on an old cruiser, but on a nice twin 525 MCOB is another.

just look at the MTI & Skater booths this year with the exception of the matte MTI (borderline ugly) they were all hideous, quality work but poor taste. The simple paint and clean lines at Cigarette looked 100 times better.

I could post quite a few examples but I know the owners of those boats post here and I don't want to be an azz........

Along those lines...80% of the boats these days have hideous paint jobs IMO. I know I'm in the minority but they just look like a "painters gone wild" contest. I with you on the Cig look some have posted here.

I think it is about time MTI has been called out on there sub par in house paint work. The matte boat painted by Visual Imagination was killer. :Score-101010:

It's no wonder this Cig has not sold in a year and a half and has been reduced by 50K. It's in the classifieds here.

He should get it wrapped or repaint it !!!! It has the goods, just ugly IMO.
