Searching for a Cat

I sold my Fountain today! I loved the boat but i was ready to move to a cat. Please post what you have or if you know where one is for sale. Here is what i am looking for.

*Budget is right around $35K. I cant go much higher than that.
*Single Engine.
*25' - 27' (Nothing smaller than 25')
*NO open bow or deck boats.
*I need to keep the top speed under 75MPH for insurance reasons.
*I am willing to buy something without power.
*I prefer Canopy's but it would not be a deal breaker.
*I don't mind having to travel to go get it.
*My top choice is Eliminator but would look at whatever is out there.
*NO outboards

Send me what you have!

Be open to outboards. You get a lot more boat for the money and very reliable power.

doplaytopay 02-28-2012 08:31 PM

look at the 2000 dcb in classifieds

Philm 02-29-2012 12:17 AM

I put up a good boat but then i reread and saw that you said single engine. Good luck.

I love the 26' Eliminators!! Probably my favorite cat!

I talked to him over email and he wont budge too much on the price. I like the boat and don't mind the travel to get it but i cant go that high. Thanks for posting the boat.

Keep them coming!

ttuton 02-29-2012 11:52 AM

There is a 26' awesome cat at Heartland Marine in Loto for around 30k

Awesome! Thanks.

ttuton - I'm not a big fan of the Awesome Cats. I just don't like the way they look. Thanks for letting me know though. I saved the site to my favorites so i can check back with them.

Can someone tell me if the 25' or 26' Eliminator cuddys are usable or is it just used as storage? Im not talking about hanging out in there for a long time, i'm just talking about getting out of the sun for a little bit or maybe preparing lunch.

I have not been in either so any advice would be great!

Thanks!

I have owned a 25 Eliminator with the 2 cooler option and a 26 Eliminator with the 2 seat option down front and as long as you are not planning on hanging out all day, they will both allow you to get out of the sun, make a sandwich, or have an escapade with your favorite girl that day. I have had friends with 28' Profile Cats and Spectre Cats and they would always come over if we were going to party on my 26 since it had room up front for coolers, storage, bumpers and stuff.

I often look around online in the price range you're talking about. If you don't like the Awesome Cat then you might not be partial to this one but I really like how much usable space these things have. It's a 25 Warlock.

I am buying the boat without a motor. It had a 540 in it so it is probably not the same boat. I hope the boat still Boogies though!!

Randy Nielsen 03-03-2012 12:16 PM

Fountain family, The boat I was thinking of would do at least 90 with a stock 575. What are you thinking for power? Oh I always seem to forget to say congrats on your new toy, Enjoy. Randy
