The bottom line is that Checkmate is stepping outside the box and building their biggest/badest boat to date. They are building the boat based upon a proven hull design with classic offshore looks and modern construction techniques. I've owned 3 Checkmates and they were all solid boats with outstanding mold work, end-grain balsa cored hulls and topdecks and nice interiors. I'm sure the new 43 Punisher will be a quality boat. In an economy where many high performance boat companies have gone belly up and sent to pasture, Checkmate is continuously busy building both entry level outboard boats, mid level I/O boats and now have something to compete with the Big Guns of Cigarette, Outerlimits, Nortech, Velocity, Active Thunder, etc. etc. I wish Doug Smith, Mike and Kip Combs the best of luck with their new 43!!! I'm sure the new Punisher will "Checkmate" quite a few other boats!!!

i like it, but in todays bad economy keep the price affordable, the more boats built by them means more advertisement, its a great looking boat.
