can anyone recommend a competent marine engine builder. need my 454 gen six rebuilt.

Richie Zul... Hes right in Long Island and has a fantastic reputation. Been building engines for years. Best in the area.

There is a few good builders in your area as mentioned. Keep in mind though, a bit of traveling might not be a bad deal, when it comes to finding a builder that works just right for you and what you want. It's a lot of money, don't let a little drive scare you off. Eddie Young was suggested and he probabley has one of the best reps here on OSO when it comes to reliabillity and personal service.
