Thats what I like about it. I have a Talon with twin outboards that I have had three sets of powerheads on over the last 4 years. I have gone to 225 promaxes "fishing motors" from nicasil race motors because I enjoy running more than wrenching. Jim Lee is the only person I know with a 46 and I look forward to his thoughts on how the boat would run with that power. Theres always will be somone faster than me only because I can't afford the latest and greatest. I have really become a diesel fan.

Q? Does this boat use an internal hydrualic tie bar for the ASD-8's? There is not an external one.....
and I hope the New Seateks are more reliable than some of the older, larger Seateks.
Diesel is the way of the future...

No tie bar. In theory, once the air is out of the steering system and the drives are set, their alignment shouldn't move. However, they rig up a trim pump plumbed into the steering lines on one drive to adjust it if it gets out of alignment. I did one before and I would rather have a tie bar. I had problems with the drives not staying aligned. You just need the spacers to raise the tie bar so it's not in the water spray. It needs to be raised up quite a bit on that boat.

I'd never heard of these before. I was researching them a bit, the fact that they are italian would scare me. Other than that I don't know anything about that, we've never torn one down at work for comparison.
